I do believe that all people are created equal and entitled to all civil rights and liberties available in this country; that all people deserve to feel safe and free to be authentic within their families, jobs and communities; and that oppression of the LGBT community must end, ESPECIALLY within the social work and mental health fields. Unfortunately, too many times I have come across professionals in these fields that are not an ally to individuals, families, and friends of the LGBT community.

The primary mission of the social work and mental health counseling professions is to enhance human well-being and to help meet the basic human needs of ALL people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable and/or oppressed.

As a licensed clinical social worker and life coach, my purpose and motivation is to provide competent services to my clientele; to practice with integrity by acknowledging the dignity and worth of every individual who seeks my help, by identifying and valuing the importance of human beings and human relationships, and advocating for social justice.

I proudly proclaim that I am an ally to the LGBT community.
