Coalition of Counselors (A-Z)

The coalition of counselors are therapists that we have met with, screened and deemed safe to provide counseling to members of our community.

This is how they have answered the following questions:

  • Do you believe homosexuality is a sin? No
  • Do you believe gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people should have the right to marry and adopt children? Yes
  • Do you believe that homosexuality is in any way secondary or less than heterosexuality? No

They have all signed the following statement:

"I believe that all people are created equal and entitled to all civil rights and liberties as available in this country; that all people deserve to feel safe and free to be authentic within their families, jobs and communities; and that oppression of the LGBT community must end."

Are you a counselor who'd like to join the Coalition? Please Contact Us.

Do you know a counselor who you think should be included? Nominate them here!

I have been in practice for over 27 years and provide Psychotherapy, Consultations, Assessments, and Treatment in the areas of Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Relationship Issues, , Trauma, and Self-Esteem/Growth. I am a Qualified Sex Therapist, specializing in improving communication and building emotional intimacy between partners and can also focus on Sexual Dysfunction if needed.  I am a Graduate of Simmons School of Social Work and worked for over 5 years at Psychiatric Hospitals throughout New England.

The most prevalent emotion that is generally expressed by patients is the fear of change. Going into unfamiliar or unknown territory can be stress inducing. However, patients become aware that staying in the same place mentally is not providing the happiness and contentment they long to have in their lives.

Patients often want to make a sincere commitment in changing their lives, in learning to manage and control their emotions, acquiring new coping skills, and increasing self-confidence.

I believe everyone deserves to be happy being true to themselves.

I have a general practice focused on working with adults individually or as couples. I enjoy helping clients increase their self-confidence and lead fulfilling lives.

I am inspired by watching my clients go through the difficult process of change and finding satisfaction in their lives and themselves. Being a part of this process and developing a trusting relationship is a positive experience for me as well as my clients.

I have been in private practice for over 20 years working with a broad range of clients and presenting issues. I received my doctorate in psychology at Wright State University in 1987 and my undergraduate degree in psychology at Duke University in 1982.
