First Ever Marketing Opportunity for Local Therapists

As I Am Institute will be in the Jacksonville area August 16-19 to invite LCSW, LMHC, LMFT and Ph.D. therapists to become members of As I Am Institute’s Coalition of Counselors. To be eligible for membership, counselors must: support marriage equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons; support adoption by same sex couples; and not view homosexuality as a sin, dysfunction or disorder. Counselors who join the Coalition sign the following statement:

I believe that all people are created equal and entitled to all civil rights and liberties; that all people deserve to feel safe and free to be authentic within their families, jobs and communities; and that ending LGBT oppression is a moral imperative.

By being a member of the Coalition of Counselors and thereby listed in the Coalition of Counselors Directory, therapists announce that they provide a comfortable and safe space for LGBT people seeking therapy. As I Am markets the Coalition of Counselors in national and local media and also on its weekly radio talk show, which streams on As I Am’s website, www.AsIAm.fm.
